He was going full speed toward a red light. I cursed him out but I know the woman who was killed by a biker a couple years ago and I feel like it’s time for a reminder that bikes need to follow the rules of the road.”
Ed. Note: I’d just add, as I mentioned in yesterday’s rant/revel, it’s time for everyone to follow the rules of the road, regardless of your preferred mode of transport.
Yesterday I saw a driver bomb through a four way stop sign while reading her phone. Today I saw a guy going 5mph for blocks reading his phone. Both are jackwagons. DO NOT read your phone while driving. Do stop at stop signs. DO Stop for pedestrians in crosswalks – cyclists, scooters, pedestrians and drivers of cars!! We rightly talk about all the gun crimes in the District, road safety is of equal if not more import. Be smart, be safe. EVERYONE. Please.
