Update: It’s being repaired!! “It looks like the vandals won this time.”

UPDATE:

“Hey there Popville Readers! The Library has not been stolen! The new steward Shaughn White has taken it off to be repaired, repainted and had been working with Little Free Library’s approval (I’m on the Little Free Library National Board). He and other DC residents generously offered to take it over. We at LFL will also be donating books to it as well. If anyone wants to do more for and with us Little Free Library has an Impact Fund where we place the libraries in much needed communities. You can see it at www.littlefreelibrary.org. We welcome anyone who wants to create one too.

You can always contact me at [email protected] I recently did the build at the Petworth Farmer’s Market eith Annie’s Hardware and Shaughn White and we will now work with Patrick, the wonderful Eagle Scout building more libraries with his troop. So the library will be back and filled with books again. That’s what a Little Free Library Neighbohood is all about. Happy New Year everyone”

“Dear PoPville,

Sad day. I just walked by and the free little library at 16th and Q NW honoring Michelle Obama is gone. Looks like it was sawed off. It was there just yesterday. This is the one that had the previous vandalism. I am only a neighbor (had nothing to do with installation) but this week I had ordered a plaque with the same inscription as the original vandalized one, and was going to put it on. It looks like the vandals won this time.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
