The scuttlebutt that Best Buy was closing in Tenleytown, turned out to be true. On the listserv I had seen some rumors from folks hearing that the ACE Hardware on the lower level would also be closing. I’m happy to say that is not the case – I hear that ACE is safe and sound in this space, which is a relief.
As for the Best Buy space I continue to hear two things. 1. That somehow the space may have been leased by Amazon. 2. The strongest rumor
that I continue to hear is that a full size Target may take over the space. I believe that nothing is in stone at this point but things are getting close. So for betting folks I’m putting odds on a Target though an Amazon books or something like that is possible too. And of course something completely off radar is always a possibility.
