MPD Releases Video of Suspects Assaulting Two Men on U Street while they “yelled homophobic slurs.”

From MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects in reference to an Aggravated Assault offense that occurred on Sunday, April 15, 2018, in the 2000 block of 10th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 12:31 am, two adult male victims were at the listed location when they were assaulted by three suspects. During the assault, the suspects yelled homophobic slurs. The victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Members of our Special Liaison Branch are assisting with this investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating this offense as potentially being motivated by hate or bias.

Suspect One

A black male, between 20-25 years of age, wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants and gray high-top sneakers pictured below.

Suspect Two:

A black male between 20-25 years of age, wearing dark clothes with distinctive shoes pictured below.

Suspect Three:

A heavy set black male between 20-25 years of age, wearing a white shirt, jeans, red boxers and dark shoes.

Anyone who can identify these individuals or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. Crime Solvers of Washington, DC currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.”
