Thanks to all who passed on such agonizing news. It’s a further credit to the love so many felt for Zaan. Update from gofundme:

“It is with an enormously heavy heart that I let you all know Zaan collapsed today. He died at 430 pm in Doctors Community Hospital.

Please give me the space to properly grieve the loss of the love of my life.
The good die young.

I will forever love Zaan M D Scott”

Definitely sad and my prayers are with his family. But it’s more than sad, like when a person dies from cancer. This man’s life was ruthlessly taken, someone chose to end his life.

Devastating. It seemed he was on his way to recovery. Just heartbroken for his family, friends, and his girlfriend. I wish them peace.

So very sad and my heart goes out to his loved ones. Although it will not bring him back, I do hope the police are able to catch his murderer.

So freakin tragic. I’ve been keeping up with the gofundme posts and it seemed like he was improving!…. I’m glad he at least had his very supportive girlfriend.

very tragic. Pretty sure i chatted with him a couple times at Rumsey and he was super nice. Rest in peace.

  • It’s just me

I pretty much never read Petula Dvorak, but she interviewed him the day he died and her cameraman was with him when he collapsed. Her piece on him is so heart wrenching, especially the pictures since you know they were taken the day he died.

I just read this article, I’m trying not to tear up at my desk. It’s so terribly sad. I just can’t. Such a senseless loss.

  • God bless you.
