gdon revisited

Listed a week prior to the election result, this Capitol Hill WOD / Ditto JV renovation found its new owner a little more than a month later. Although reduced off the original list of over $1.8 million, it settled for a solid and substantial price.

Of the fifty one fee simple listings sold in the legal subdivision of Capitol Hill since September 1st, 2016, the high sale hit $2,500,000. The average price for a house in that neighborhood during this time period is $1,169,798. The lowest sale recently was at $690,500. During the same time period last year, about the same number (fifty two) sold, however the average price was over $100,000. lower at net $1,027,114.

The listing agent for this property was Tom Faison with Re/Max Allegiance. Jason Townsend, with Keller Williams Capital Properties (per the disclosure above, affiliated with the same brokerage as the writer) assisted the Buyer.

oooh – I for one loved that renovation.

Eh, looks very nice, but also very anodyne (and I usually like Ditto’s “minimalist” work). If this sold for a lot less I guess I’d have a very different outlook, however. :-)
