“I don’t know who this guy is, or why he was doing what he was doing…All I know is that as he bounded down the hill from the Washington Monument belting along with Bon Jovi carrying extra on his shoulders with the American flag waving triumphantly in the twilight as he wound his way around the reflecting pool towards Lincoln, there wasn’t a single person he passed who wasn’t taken out of their own mind for a few moments to look up and smile. We were all one–and I’m totally down with that cool.”
