    That is no fireman’s pole…

      Definitely is not a fireman’s pole…

      • jeb

I think that painting is an ethnically ambiguous impressionist representation of what would be happening on that “fireman’s pole”

        • SaraEP

that gave me a good lol – thanks

And that’s no 1 bedroom… lofted studio at best. What are we talking here, 350sf?

  • Tsar of Truxton

    Talk about a bachelor’s pad…

    • Yeah I thought the exact same thing. Pretty sweet if I were 10 years younger, although I wouldn’t have been able to pay that back then!

  • smh

    “Stop pacing, time wasting
I gotta a friend with a pole in the [Logan Circle loft apartment] what?
I’m just kidding like Jason oh
    Unless you gon’ do it”

If anyone really climbs over that railing and leans out to grab the pole (can’t see how far away it really is) they might as well have someone in the living room ready to call 911. or maybe I’m just especially clumsy…

Yeah, I was surprised the realtor would say that. It’s obviously not meant to slide down and I could see them being liable if someone hurt themselves doing it. Though I guess you can’t blame them for making the best of an unfortunate structural element.

      • There’s pretty much nothing a realtor can say that will surprise me at this point.

  • neighbor

I can hear the conversation now:
“so.. how can we make this 500 sq foot apartment look bigger?”
“Well, what if we just take 20 pictures of the same room from slightly different angles. Maybe that will help?”

That price for such a small space – ouch! But if they can find a sucker, then why not.

  • SaraEP

It looks like one would have to climb over the railing to get to the “firemans pole”, no?

    Dual purpose pole perhaps? ;)

Love the the realtor’s spin on the pole. Bless their hearts.

  • Clearly it’s a unique fixer-upper opportunity.

If you look closer there is a gate that opens at the top so you can slide down. They probably installed the pole since the stairs are easy to climb up and hard to come down.

  • Duponter

Clearly a stripper pole and can’t even enjoy it because it is too close to the staircase.

  • Breedentials

I’m holding out for a Incredible industrial loft space with a chinning bar and a rocking chair. Stripper poles are for clubs.

  • jdegg

Where are the sliding barn doors?

  • whovous

Around the time the third stripper broke her ankle swinging into the too-close stair, it became a fireman’s pole.
