From Catholic Charities DC:

How to Help

Catholic Charities is working to serve an increasing number of families throughout the D.C.- region. To meet this growing demand, there is an urgent need for food to replenish our food pantries, as well as personal care items such as tissues and soap, and cleaning products for our program sites. Below are some ways people can immediately support those in need:

o    Food Donations: Our food pantries in D.C., Montgomery County and Southern Maryland are in great demand as many around the region are finding themselves unemployed as a direct result of the health crisis. Our clients come to us from all over our service area and funds are urgently needed to restock our pantry supplies with shelf-stable, non-perishable food items.

o    Disinfectant Items: Our programs need essential personal-care items for clients and cleaning supplies to keep our areas disinfected from germs and to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

o    Financial assistance will ensure our dedicated staff can continue to provide critically-needed social services to a growing number of people. Many of our staff are still on the frontlines serving those in our community with the deepest needs and need additional support during this crisis.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
