  • I am looking for an apartment in this area and feel qualified to say that outdoor space and laundry make this a good deal despite the dated kitchen. Square footage seems reasonable too. Light may be a question mark.

  • It’s a stretch to refer to Lanier Heights as “the heart of Adams Morgan”, but nonetheless, nice place (kitchen aside) and outdoor space for sunny months ahead!

    • Sure, but that end of it is that is close to the restaurants and bars of Adams Morgan, closer than many other streets in Adams Morgan. Lanier Heights is just a subset of Adams Morgan, anyway, despite having a separate name and defined boundaries.

it’s like Washington Heights, the section of Adams Morgan between Columbia Road, 18th and Florida Ave. – an old name for that area that no one uses except the historical district named just that.
      .
After all, Adams Morgan is a relatively recent (in my lifetime) name created from two school names in the area when school desecration was occurring. There definitely wasn’t any Adams Morgan territory that was not previously names something else – the streets to the east of 18th St were, I think considered Meridian Hill.

    • It is not a stretch to call this location in the “heart of Adams Morgan” – it is literally a 1/2 block from the intersection of 18th and Columbia, which I think most people would call the center of the neighborhood.

    • Not saying it’s not a good value: I would even consider buying a place like that. Having lived in AdMo for a couple years, I would consider the heart to be California to Belmont with the northern point being Columbia & Calvert. The neighborhood changes a lot once you move north of Columbia Road into the hill of Lanier.

  • This seems like a pretty good deal. Nice amount of space, laundry, and decent outdoor space. Yeah, the kitchen is dated, but it’s perfectly usable.

  • LOL – looks like my landlord and this owner hired the same kitchen designer!! Cabinets, stove, and fridge all look the same. That being said…my kitchen is perfectly usable.

  • Really good deal.

I did not live in that building but I lived in a building built by the same people. It was years ago and I paid $1500 for a smaller place with a much worse washer and dryer. However, I was closer to Adams Morgan. When i move out I think they wanted $1800. This place is bigger.

  • As others have said, this looks to be a fantastic deal for that neighborhood and for that patio. If I were in the market for a 1BR, I would get this in a heartbeat.
