  • I used to live in a basement apartment right next door and I would never move into another basement apartment on Florida Ave. It is very noisy. In addition to the perpetual traffic that backs up on Florida Ave, you also have ambulance sirens blaring throughout the night. Plus, you have to wake up very early in order to make sure your newspaper isn’t stolen.

  • When did dark, outdated, basement dumps become trendy? I missed that memo. Crazy kids today!

  • If that’s the apartment I think it is, it’s across the street from Right Proper, has been available for ~2 years. As a person that spends a ton of time in that area, Id think long and hard about that apartment, if the river of pee from the all behind the Dunbar building didnt deter me, the constant traffic on 7th, T and Florida Ave would drive me off.

    • I don’t think its directly in front of right proper (this apartment is on florida – right proper is on T) – there are a couple of rowhouses right in front of right proper on t but I don’t think this one is it. that being said, this is probably quite loud at night, though it looks like the bedroom might be set away from the street, so might be a bit more insulated?

Another thing to think about is that the whole block on t right next to the howard is going to be under construction from the fall onwards – might make the traffic in the area even more unbearable than it currently is.

  • why wouldn’t there be more pics, like of the bedroom

    • Because it’s soooo trendy that the owners don’t want anyone stealing design ideas from them.

  • Forget the traffic, there’s a flood issue on this block -former basement dweller.
