  • These look almost identical to my pictures from last year, so I guess I didn’t miss much!

    • This is now the best neighborhood fair and event in the city!

    • It’s like that one time I saw live music – I mean, what’s the point, right? You see it once, you’ve seen it all.

  • great day on Saturday! Gets better every year.

Hopefully next year I’ll finally be able to go, everyone looks so happy! There’s always soooo much going on that first full weekend in May that something always winds up being a bigger priority.

    • Was coming to lament the same thing. Flower Mart and Embassy Day were also going on Saturday, and Embassy Day, despite becoming increasingly more crowded every year, remains one of, if not, my favorite event in DC. Where else can you “travel” to so many places in 1 day? Plus, I’m too poor to actually travel to most of these places anyway, so it’s the closest I’m going to get. Same story next weekend with the Greek Festival and Embassy Day Part 2.

  • One thing that drives me a little nuts (and I try not to rant on the police in this city much) – but would it be that hard for them to do a little bit of traffic control with these types of events? They block off all of these streets and then sit in their cars while traffic is a disaster. It doesn’t need to be pre-/post-Nats game or anything, but a little effort would be nice.

    • +1000 — Is it really too much to ask for a traffic plan OR even just placing all adjacent lights on blinking red-light mode so that at least the traffic that gets caught in the web is dispersed.

Well, Justin, it looks at least some folks were able to Run their Chihuahuas and Funk-a-delic!
