  • I don’t understand the parking situation. Why pay $100 when you’re the only tenant in the rowhouse? Is the parking on someone else’s property? Why not just park in the concrete backyard? I’m so confused.

    Otherwise, cool front door.

    • Landlords going to rent it to someone else who will pay?

      • Yeah, that’s what I was going to say.

        • Yeah, makes sense. Still, if I were renting an entire rowhouse that has off-street parking, I’d assume that parking is included (especially for that price in that area). Just my two cents though.

          • “Especially for that price”? The price is the price, and the parking has a price. If you want to add $100 to the price because you want the parking, then parking is included for the sum. If the sum is too high, then the price is too high, and you don’t think it’s a good deal (or at least not right for you).
            .
The way you’re even talking about it is frustrating for those of us who think people need to internalize the costs of car ownership/usage.

          • I was wondering why they didn’t just add $100 (or whatever) to the rent and list it as “parking included,” but maybe that’s because it would take the rent over the $3,000 mark.
            .
Also… it was hard to tell from the photos, but I got the impression that the space was big enough to hold two cars on the alley side of the fence and perhaps another two cars on the house side of the fence. Maybe the owner doesn’t want to deal with all of the possible permutations and wants to leave him/herself free to rent the other 1-3 spaces out if the house renter has only one car (or maybe two cars parked tandem-style, one inside the fence and one outside).

  • 3bed+ a basement with a kitchen for under 3k sounds like a great deal to me. An extra hundred for parking isn’t a big deal.

  • No way in hell I’m paying $1000/BR to live in Trinny.
And it’s utter BS that the parking is not included. Parking is not that tight in that neighborhood. What a cheapskate. Each house I rented in Dupont and Columbia Heights included the parking pad out back. The owner will fold on this one very quickly.
