  • Looks really nice. Obviously a lot, but a really nice, historic space.

  • Character is preserved on the outside but not inside. I’ll bet it’s really noisy. Difficult to get an idea of how awkward the space might be given the shape.

  • The thing I have always wondered about that building is “What happened on the 1st floor corner that made them brick it up?”

  • Really remarkable transformation of an historic building – it’s hard to describe how dilapidated this place was for decades.

Definitely a lot of noise there from the intersection of Florida and Rhode Island Avenues, but I’m sure that was idea behind “NY-STYLE”. It’s definitely city living and all that comes with it. If I were still a singleton, I’d love to live there.

    • As someone who has lived in NY, true “NY style” would be carving that thing up into 5 separate apartments, but other than that, seems fine. The windows are tiny but for a rental who cares I guess.

      • Although, as a singleton, there’s no way I could or would pay 3900 for an apartment – would have to be a bunch of roommates or a couple at least. And if it’s a couple, why not buy if you have that much money?

        • They may only be living in the city for a short period of time or they may not have the don’t payment for a home. lots of folks can afford the monthly mortgage most don’t have that 3%-20% to put down.
