  • I love it. It will be interesting to see how well they do with lease-up.

The building looks fine, but I’m fairly certain the “height of luxury” as it relates to these types of properties is experienced somewhere by Central Park in Manhattan, not by the Woodley Park metro in DC. Add it to the list of constantly overused real estate terms.

    • It’s among the most expensive and well-appointed apartment buildings in all of DC, so calling it the “height of luxury” might not be such a stretch.
It also has a beautiful infinity pool in the back.

  • JBG doesn’t kid around. Love it.

  • +1 for balconies. I’m glad apartments are being built with balconies now.

-1 for the phrase “unmatched amenities.” Tons of apartments offer common areas, pet services and gyms.

  • Great. Nice nod to the grand old apartments in NW DC

Looks nice and I think it will age well.

  • Looks really nice, but I’d hate living on essentially the grounds of the Marriott Wardman Park.

  • The traffic going into Marriott Wardman Park can be horrendous so having to get around it to go to your home sounds like a nightmare. But these places do look pretty sweet.

  • Two penthouse units will have the most expensive apt for rent in DC at $12,000. Studios start at $2,700.

  • I did a tour right before construction was completed, it’s really stunning inside and out, and I’ve seen a lot of properties around the area. Just an example, there’s a library space on the first level with amazing woodwork, something you won’t see in most competitors.

  • I did a tour as well, the place is a maze. Very ornately decorated, but my question… WHO will live there? Apparently there are only 2 studios available, and the largest is 3 bedroom..

  • Do not like. The bricks and grabby size put it in the looks-like-a-mental-hospital league.

  • I want to know how they got to use “The Woodley” for the name. They aren’t the only building in that neighborhood…

But yes, JBG did a fantastic job on this building.

  • we need more of this style building, fits in great in woodley park especially…and anywhere along conn. ave. Looks a lot better than many of the new smaller buildings popping up that are all glass, which i agree probably won’t age as well.

  • I really like the way this turned out.

  • I think it looks great – unique style that sets it far apart from the other buildings going up in DC

  • Now that this building is done, will they be responsible for having Woodley Road repaved? It’s been so heavily damaged by construction equipment and trucks that it’s like driving through Bosnia.

  • I think it looks great, and will most likely age beautifully. Sure it’s big and new, but goes with the neighborhood’s classic style. Much more than that Adamo thing in Adams Morgan looks like it’s going to…
