Everyone I know who goes here usually ends up being $150 poorer and it’s done in the ambiance of a diner. Never understood the appeal of this place.
I completely disagree with this statement. I find their menu very reasonably priced. The wait staff is also very warm and friendly, without being overbearing. The goat cheese salad is really, truly delicious. However, I was disappointed a bit in my mussels the last time I was there- I think they were a bit overcooked. That said, I will be back.
FWIW, they average 4 out of 5 stars on Yelp with 240 reviews, so it seems many disagree with you. http://www.yelp.com/biz/bistro-la-bonne-washington
I was here for a holiday/retirement lunch party with my co-workers, who are a disparate and somewhat picky bunch. Everyone seemed to have a good time – I know I enjoyed it.
I ate here shortly after they opened, and it was really hit-or-miss. Some of the items were good, but some were just mediocre.
I like the understated elegance of the TV in the corner. Very sophisticated design sense.
I agree. A lot of places do a really bad job of placing TVs in the room, but LaBonne got it right.
I love BLB. GREAT food. Great beer too, and reasonably priced.
I love how reasonably priced this place is, at least for brunch (never been for dinner).
Had a very good dinner here once. My mom and some other relatives were there this past Saturday and had a great meal. I view it is as a slightly inferior Bistro du Coin that’s closer to my place.
I love this place, the Filet Mignon is consistently great and one $24. Friendly service too. Not sure why they needed a third floor though and their poor wiaters, the kitchen is in the basement!
