709 H St, NE
Back in Sept. 2011 we learned Po Boys Kitchen was coming to 709 H Street, NE. Looks like they’ve changed the name to PoBoy Jim. Their facebook page says:
“Poboy jim will be a cajun creole rustic restaurant that features casual dinning, an extensive bar, and outdoor seating. The ambiance will be rustic and casual; yet the cuisine will be of the highest quality.”

Use of the word “dinning” makes me irrationally angry.
I hope the food (and service) is decent. H Street doesn’t need another awful Cajun place.
the fact that it seems to conflate cajun and creole food makes me think it will be awful.
Very true…..
DC is desperate for a decent cajun place. Aside from Acadiana, which I can only afford very very occasionally, I’m always disappointed. Here’s hoping this will be what I’ve been waiting for!
They’re using Leidenheimer bread, so they’re already better than any Louisiana eatery in the region.
Are they really using Leidenheimer bread or are you being sarcastic, it’s hard to tell because almost all your posts on here are sarcastic.
+1 to Webster’s comment about Acadiana being authentic, but also expensive.
