On top of the great news that Tacos El Chilango is opening up Aug. 5th at 1119 V Street, NW – comes news that next door neighbor Izakaya Seki is opening up this Sunday, July 29th! We took a sneak peek at the space last week.

Looks good. How’s their grilled chicken caesar? Not uninspired or just “didn’t knock my socks off?”
You had me until that last picture. Raw octo just freaks me out.
If I saw that raw octo plate I’d be tempted to play with my food. Big pink and rubbery it looks like a pool toy!
I could be totally off, but the “Fried Shrimp” picture looks more like octopus. Of course, lots of fried things look the same! Garlic fried rice sounds amazing.
hahaha – no it’s shrimp – what you are seeing is the vegetables that comes with it!

Oooh hooray! That food looks delicious. Just hoping their prices will be reasonable.
Wow, looks great! I’m down with any menu that has an entire section called “today’s rice ball.” Hope prices are reasonable.
