Many DC USA Stores Open Midnight on Friday But Remember Metro Closes at 1AM

For those who are crazy enough seeking to take advantage of Black Friday sales at DC USA you may want to drive. While many stores like Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Modells, etc open at Midnight (Thursday night/Friday morning) I’ve been reminded that metro still closes at 1am (Thursday night/Friday morning) so keep that in mind if you’re taking metro.

  • I think we all know what this means… ITS TRAMPLE TIME.

Are you sure they’re open that late? WMATA’s site says the following:

Thanksgiving Day, November 24: On Thanksgiving Day, Metrorail will operate on a Sunday schedule, opening at 7 a.m. and closing at midnight. Parking will be free at all Metrorail station parking facilities.

Friday, November 25: The Metrorail system will run on a regular weekday schedule from 5 a.m. to 3 a.m. Normal fares will be charged and regular weekday parking rates will apply.

  • Thank goodness we have so many unique shops to choose from in our neighborhoods so we don’t need to stand in line at midnight to purchase crap from China.

    Shop local!
