  • Just an FYI – If you are planning to attend Adams Morgan Day, there will also be an art supply drive from 12-3 pm at the Sawah Diner, 2222-2224 18th Street NW (across from Marie Reed ES). Contributions will go to HD Cooke and Marie Reed elementary schools.

Supplies needed include: construction paper, colored pencils, markers, scissors, glue, crayons, paint brushes, and regular paper. There will be free soft drinks and wings for anyone who brings arts supplies.

The collection drive is hosted by Jeff Smith’s Mount Pleasant and Adams Morgan Supporters to highlight Jeff’s focus on improving education and give back to the community. No proceeds of this event will be donated to the campaign.

  • I used to love Adams Morgan Day, but we don’t go anymore, for fear of being shot by the police.

  • Adams Morgan Day received rave reviews for the diversity of music acts and dances, plus the Kid’s Fair and Green Pavilion and Jazz in Park. Diversity of street vendors and the local biz’s stayed open.
