Pleasant Pops grand opening – Saturday, July 3rd at Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market

“Dear PoP,

We started Pleasant Pops in March 2009 because we grew up in New York and North Carolina and absolutely adore “paletas,” a style of fresh fruit ice pops from Mexico.

I called Roger in March of last year after seeing an empty store front in Mount Pleasant and asked him to move to DC. Roger and I are former college roommates who met on the crew team freshman year.

Our flavors are all original creations we developed after dozens of informal taste tests and tasting parties over the past year.

The most memorable tasting party was a Saturday in February when 120 people came to taste our pops in the middle of the DC snowpocolypse. Strawberries and Cream, Blueberry Pancake, Banana Date, Avocado Lime (Guac Pop) and Green Tea were the biggest hits out of the dozen we offered at that party.

You can find Pleasant Pops at the Mount Pleasant Farmers’ Market, starting July 3rd, and every summer Saturday thereafter, from 9a.m-1p.m. We’re also available for catering special events and parties

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
