Mazi writes from Mount Vernon Triangle: “Damn Hondas can’t find a safe place in this city! My building’s parking garage got hit over the weekends and cars (mostly Hondas) got burglarized and their tires stolen. luckily my car was spared”

It had been 2 days since our last stolen wheels report(s). You can see some MPD suggestions on ways to prevent a Helluva Way to Wake Up here.  Others victims have recommended Rimgard. You can read a Witness Describing a Wheel Theft here.

Thanks to B. for sending from Woodley Park/Cleveland Park: “This is the second Honda that lost its wheels in the past two weeks in the same place

Nicky sends from The Daily Rider: “on the 600 block of H St NE this morning. Just a month ago, one of its windows was smashed and several bikes were stolen. Across the street, someone recently smashed a window at Starbucks.”

And C. sends below from Capitol Hill: (more…)

Thanks to A. for sending from Mount Pleasant: “The crash has been visible for a few days. The ticket and wheels are new today.”

Update from the owner:

“The wheels weren’t stolen. After being totaled in the crash that ended this police chase last Friday night, I pulled some parts and the wheels off the car in preparation for its eventual trip to the scrap yard. I haven’t checked yet today, but as of yesterday there’s two tickets on it for parking the wrong way—even though the crash mostly broke one of the wheels off the car and it couldn’t be moved even if I wanted to.”
