I think Solly’s at 11th and U may be a good choice. There is also a place in Cleveland Park that also has awesome prosciutto sandwiches called Cleveland Park Bar and Grill on Connecticut Ave. What’s your favorite spot?

Here were the recommendations for best wine bar, Chinese, Latino/Mexican, hidden restaurants, Italian, Sushi, Indian, falafel, Ethiopian, and Middle Eastern.

A friend of mine called me up asking for my recommendations and the only place I could think of was the noodle place on 6th Street in China Town. So help us out! What’s the best Chinese (and Chinese takeout) in the City?

Here were the recommendations for best Latino/Mexican, hidden restaurants, Italian, Sushi, Indian, falafel, Ethiopian, and Middle Eastern.

We’ve spoken in the past about some good brunch options. But I’d like to know where are the best “regular” breakfast dining options in DC. My personal vote is for Krupins (or whatever it is called now) located on Wisconsin Ave. in Tenleytown. Damn good lox platters. Where’s your favorite regular breakfast option?

I used to love playing pool at Angles on 18th Street in Adams Morgan but they removed one of the tables so it has fallen from my list. I’d probably have to say Red Derby since it’s a great bar table that only costs a buck. For pool halls I think I like Atomic in Cleveland Park the best. Where is your favorite place?

Lauriol Plaza always seems to be packed yet I’ve never met anyone who actually likes the food. I’ve gone on record as loving El Limeno at 2nd and Upshur in Petworth. So what’s your favorite Latino restaurant? Leave cross street if you know them.

Here were the recommendations for best hidden restaurants, Italian, Sushi, Indian, falafel, Ethiopian, and Middle Eastern.

Now that I have the poll thing figured out I can add a poll after recommendations are submitted in the comments section. I have gone on record saying that I love Al Crostino (pictured above) on U Street. They have a fantastic wine menu, the stuffed ravioli and prosciutto dish are both ridiculously good.  And of course the servers are super nice.  So what’s your favorite Italian?

Here were the recommendations for best Sushi, Indian, falafel, Ethiopian, and Middle Eastern.

I’m really enjoying these posts on best falafel, Middle Eastern, Ethiopian, etc. So I’m super curious to learn where folks think the best Indian restaurant is to be found. The photo above from Adams Morgan claims to be DC’s finest. I have to give them props on one of the finest doors. But what is your vote for favorite Indian restaurant?

I really enjoyed our discussion last week about whether Dukem was the best Ethiopian restaurant in the city. So I was alerted to a new mural going up at Mama Ayesha’s (will post later in the afternoon) and it got me thinking what is the best Middle Eastern sit down restaurant in DC? Mama Ayesha’s? Lebanese Taverna?
