“Dear PoPville,

I lost chunky gold cable bracelet (see picture) that belonged to my grandmother on the green line of the metro on the evening of April 2 returning from work. It was approximately 630pm on the Green Line going towards greenbelt. I think it fell off around Hyattsville Crossing as I was exiting the car, but can’t be certain. I think the trains turn around and go back after they reach the end of the line so it could be anywhere on the Green (and potentially yellow) lines. (more…)

A longshot but:

“Dear PoPville,

A few years ago, during an office move, (the building was at 1120 19th St NW / Dupont Circle. I was abroad and could not move my paintings and when I came back they were gone.) I lost two paintings that I got in Haiti—artworks that hold deep sentimental and cultural value to me. Despite my best efforts, their whereabouts remain unknown. I’m hopeful that the community might help recover these cherished pieces.

I am more than willing to offer a reward for any information that leads to their recovery. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I am desperately looking to see if anyone in DC can help me find my son’s bag— he lost his beloved stitch bag somewhere either on the 400 block of 11th St NE or by the Kennedy Center. He’s totally heartbroken. There was money in it (don’t care about recovering that back), but what is really most special is the actual purse and inside the plain black wallet that was a gift given to him. Is there any way you can help?”

If you spot it/have tips please email me at [email protected] and I’ll pass on to OP.
