“I noticed two Peregrine Falcons on top of the rusty old radio tower between Harvard st and Columbia Rd, right off of 14th st. Looking back in your blog it looks like a few years ago they were seen on that same tower, so perhaps the same pair returned to the area (and maybe they always have!). I just saw one of them again today, so it seems like they could be here for the winter.”

Thanks to Allen for sending: “Caught these behind the 1800 block of 13th street NW last spring. Prior to flight up 4 stories to capture a rooftop perched pigeon. One of many pigeons that no longer come back behind 13th street. It snapped its neck in a fury of vertical flight maneuvers then dropped the body on a neighboring roof and continued hunting.” (more…)
