Never mind the obvious pandering to the equine enthusiast crowd nor the fact that the Mayor’s office is not in the Capitol building – Faith’s posters can not be topped.

Thanks to a reader for sharing this phenomenal creation inspired from some street art in Shaw:
“My morning commute frequently takes me past the 1200 block of 9th Street, NW. I’m not sure how long it’s been there, but I’ve become obsessed with some art that someone posted on the door of the building being renovated. It led me to do an image search for “cat dracula” on Google (though, honestly, I do a lot of weird cat-related searches on Google. Why else do we have a Google?), and I was able to find another version of the image. When deciding what to carve in my pumpkin this year, the choice was clear: I bring you Nospurrratu!”

“Check this out. It’s part of an event at Studio Theater about ‘America’s Commute’.”

Thanks to Tommy for sending this awesome photo he took from 1201 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW just before the storm earlier today.

From a press release:
“Music legend, Stevie Wonder made a surprise visit to local vegan hot spot, Evolve Vegan Restaurant, at 341 Cedar Street NW, in the Takoma neighborhood of Washington, DC last evening for dinner. Wonder appeared to be hosting a business meeting and reports have him at the FCC earlier in the day. Evolve Vegan Restaurant owner, Baruch Ben-Yehudah, known as Dr. Baruch, welcomed Wonder and his dining companions and entourage. Wonder ordered Evolve favorites including southern fried chick-un, mac and cheese, collard greens, yams, coleslaw, couscous and finished with German chocolate cake.
“We are so excited that Stevie Wonder selected our restaurant to visit,” says Dr. Baruch. “We think that he enjoyed his dinner – his plates came back clean!”
Upon departure, Wonder graciously took pictures with the staff and customers. “We love you Stevie Wonder!” was shouted when he departed.”

“This is pretty cool. They’re moving a huge tree in SW… Apparently they move it today or Saturday.”
Awesome root ball!

Thanks to a reader for brightening my day:
“We may be losing our cool crosswalk on 14th St. but we have another little gem on Logan Circle. A friendly “HI” greets people as they enter the roundabout. We noticed it after the circle was recently repaved and the stripes painted.”
