“Dear PoPville,
What in the dickens are these lights that appeared over downtown tonight (around 9:30pm Monday)? Beginning of Alien Invasion? This was looking south toward the White House from Dupont Circle so really not a mystery. It’s the dirty aura. They did eventually settle down.”
Whoa. Anyone else see them? Anyone know the deal for real?

“Dear PoPville,
These piles of sand appeared a few weeks ago on the sidewalk on my street (New Hampshire Avenue) in Columbia Heights. I think they have appeared in previous years as well. Any idea where they come from??”
Anyone else seeing random piles of sand around town. Anyone know why?!?! (Wrong answers only.) No. I will also accept right answers, I’ve just always wanted to try out a wrong answers only post. But I guess that’s basically a caption contest!! Anyway, what the hell?

“Dear PoPville,
From the edge of Garfield Park – interesting to see that the operator was wearing a helmet, so maybe this is categorized as a bike, at least for their internal compliance needs? But otherwise I have so many questions about how they decided to roll these out.”
On May 11th we shared the news that “DDOT Launches MicroFreight DC Pilot Program to Bring Quiet, Safe E-Cargo Bike Deliveries to DC Neighborhoods”
