In Aix en Provence, France there are many of these bronze looking buttons that mark the steps of its most famous resident Paul Cezanne. This obviously not the same. This button was found on the bridge between Mt. Pleasant and Cleveland Park on Porter. I’m especially curious since it was on a bridge. Any ideas?
I don’t know exactly why I was fascinated with roofs this week. Nevertheless I got another question for you – what are these things, proper chimneys? Why do they come in pairs and why are the ones in the top photo so much taller than the ones below? I am genuinely curious.
Clearly the chimney is to the right but what is the small circular thing that spins on the left hand side of the photo?

It seems the old Webster School located at 940 H Street, NW has been boarded up for ages. This is such a prime location that it must be on someone’s radar. Does anyone know if/what the future plans are here?
