At the end of the walk, you will vote on your favorite yards and help select the best of each street. Of course, it is summer so a reception will follow. The reception will give you the opportunity to meet new neighbors and catch up with old ones. You can pre-buy your $10 tickets on Paypal (no account required) by using this link.

Ellen Richardson, a graphic designer and Pleasant Plains resident, recently took her Craigslist hunting skills to the next level with the launch of her blog, Listed District. Listed District offers daily DC Craigslist findings of everything from Mid-Century and Industrial furniture, to bikes and the utterly strange.  Every week Ellen is going to share a roundup of some Phenomenal Finds with PoPville.

“Beauty without expression is boring.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Today’s round-up features a lovely gathering of fairly unrelated items. Not having a theme to write about makes this a little harder, so let’s try something new…shall we? No sappy write-up today, just some interesting tidbits (and more CL items!) to pair with each item…here goes:

$40 – Tangerine Tango High Gloss West Elm Side Table
High-gloss furniture is everywhere nowadays and, if you visit Listed District fairly often, you know I have a soft spot for Tangerine Tango. I would love to see this stool paired with the the fabric design of Brie Harrison. Her work features lamp shades, upholstery, cushions and more.

Continues after the jump. (more…)
