“Plans to extend the DC Streetcar to Georgetown have been effectively scrapped.”

Though they do note: “The department is still planning to extend the streetcar line east over the Anacostia River along Benning Road Northeast to the Benning Road Metro station.” (more…)

“Streetcar being towed slams into truck that is towing it. Not sure if damage is from this or another accident. Other side of the street impeded due to stopped school bus and ambulance. Not a good day for the Streetcar.” (more…)

Most folks thought Lyft/Uber driver but I’m going with following the GPS given the Alabama license plates.

Streetcar signs – Legible or Not?

“Dear PoPville,

Has anyone else noted how terrible the streetcar signs are? The contrast is terrible. I can barely make out when the next streetcar is coming when I stand in front of the sign, much less across the street trying to decide if I should cross to take it. Why would they put these up? They should have taken a note from WMATA, their signs are at least legible.”
