The Woodley Park metro elevator is currently stuck. An EMT confirmed there are people on it. There are two fire trucks and at least one EMT at the bottom and the top peering down the elevator shaft. T that would be terrifying- hoping everyone is ok”

A reader reports at 8:41am: “Just got offloaded on red line at Rhode Island bc someone was hit by train there.”
From WMATA:
“Red Line: Trains are single tracking between Rhode Island Ave and NoMa-Gallaudet because of a trespasser struck by a train at Rhode Island Avenue. Expect delays in both directions. Some trains will offload at strategic locations to minimize train traffic.”

“Tap. Ride. Go. is live on Metrobus! Customers can now simply tap a contactless credit or debit card or use Apple Pay and Google Pay on bus farebox readers to pay for their fares.
Fares are required to ride Metrobus. Most routes cost $2.25, and express buses cost $4.80. Customers can now get a transfer discount between Metrorail and Metrobus by using the same card when transferring.
It’s another way Metro is improving our customers’ experience, making payment easier for visitors and occasional riders.” (more…)
