Well-Paid Maids has raised its starting wage — again! — to $23 an hour.

The District’s only living-wage cleaning company was already paying employees $22 an hour — well over the hourly mean wage of $15.44 for cleaners and housekeepers in the DMV area, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

But between inflation and the increasing cost of living, founder Aaron Seyedian knew it was time for another increase.

When Aaron launched Well-Paid Maids in 2017, he vowed to be different from other cleaning companies. At the time, he paid employees a starting wage of $16 an hour. Through the years, he’s increased the minimum based on the standards calculated by Living Wage For US.

“We’ve raised our starting wage $7 in 6 years to make sure our staff can continue to earn what they need,” he said.

By booking a cleaning with Well-Paid Maids, you’re supporting a company dedicated to changing the standards in traditionally low-wage industries.

For those who haven’t heard, CarCare To Go is a crazy-easy way to take care of your car.

We are combining traits rare in the automotive industry — transparency, trust, and modern convenience. Maintenance, repair, and detailing for all makes and models takes as much time as ordering groceries online.

Plus, every appointment comes with free valet pick-up and return from your home or work. And we’re still celebrating the new year with an oil change for just $20.23. No catch. All makes and models. Synthetic or blend. And the Deluxe Hand Details are true pet and child-busters. I have both and a recent detail managed to make our 5-year-old Subaru feel like new.

Clients are raving about their experience. Below is feedback from one recent client and you can see many more reviews here on our site.

If you’re reading this review and considering using this service, I wholeheartedly recommend it. This is the most convenient way to get your car serviced and they’ll treat you like you’re their only customer. Gladys, who came to get my car, was prompt and polite. They’ll keep you informed about the work while they have your car and return it clean and like new. They won’t upsell you and their prices are reasonable. I will be using them again for sure and I’m very pleased to have come across this business. — John G.

Hope you enjoy this new car maintenance and repair service as much as hundreds of your neighbors have.

For Paige Strott, hiring someone to clean her two-bedroom D.C. condo is a worthy investment. It allows the busy professional to check a daunting project off her to-do list and spend more time with her friends and family.

But finding a quality cleaning company proved challenging.

“I had used other cleaning services that felt like ‘Uber for house cleaning,'” she says. “They didn’t clean my house any better than I could have, so I felt I was wasting my money.”

Through an online search, she found Well-Paid Maids

“The way they support employees through benefits and a living wage appealed to me because I like to support companies that have strong values and treat their employees well,” she says, noting the Netflix show “Maid” opened her eyes to the poor working conditions that plague the industry.

Even more, she appreciates how meticulously Well-Paid Maids takes care of her home.

“There is such a strong feeling of relief and calm when I come home to a clean house that Well-Paid Maids has thoroughly and thoughtfully done,” she says.

Paige has Well-Paid Maids clean her home about once every other month. Sometimes she’s working from home and other times she’s at work, leaving her dog in charge. Either way, she says the process is always smooth and convenient.

When asked if she’d recommend Well-Paid Maids to a friend, she says she already has. Recently, she had a friend over who asked what service she uses because she had never seen Paige’s place so clean!
