This name makes me laugh because I think it is referencing the Spanish island located in the Mediterranean Sea. I’m not sure if I can conjure up a Mediterranean Shangri-La on the 900 block of Randolph (though I do love that block).

I laughed so hard when I saw this sign. At first glance, it looks like a normal video conferencing advertisement. But if you look closer the lady on the TV has some serious cleavage going on. HA! It’s phenomenal. And now I know where I’ll be getting my future video conferencing service…

This is from the bulletin board outside Columbia Heights Coffee on 11th Street. I like the fact that Kim is not limiting herself to only one service. I’m serious. So if anyone needs these services I hope you’ll hook her up.

I’ve featured their great window before but never realized that the sign is pretty sweet as well. I’ve rarely seen a sign with rows of light bulbs around it like this one has. I’m not sure if you can read it in the photo but on the small red circle on the bottom left hand corner it says “Dot’s Home Cooking”. Sweet sign.

At first glance this sign may look rather ordinary. But I’ve noticed that there are many take out Chinese places like this named “Danny’s”. So I’m wondering if “Dandy’s” was a typo. Either way it’s real dandy…
