I thought this was interesting. The sign was posted in someone’s front yard. Anyone think this is a good approach? I don’t know if I’d want all sorts of people just knocking on my door saying, yeah I’m a professional carpenter…

I’ve spoken about my love for the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair but PoPville flickr user hilaryhartman got this great shot from the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair. I know the fairs are over now but does anyone have a favorite?

I love this one from H Street, NE. There is just something about “Latest Fashions” and the script that stops me in my tracks every time I pass it.

They mysterious storefront at 3303 11th Street, NW has painted over the classic Marcus Garvey line, “Up You Mighty Race…It’s Time”. The space is now apparently a security services firm.

Here’s what it used to look like:

Perhaps I should call this week “Photos from cacophony76“. But what can I say, this is another amazing shot. I think it’s my favorite of the week.
Submit your photos via email or to the PoPville flickr pool here.

For some reason I’ve had a lot of posts on poop scooping. I’m not sure what that says about me… But anyway, I thought this sign from Mt. P was really kicking the whole thing up a notch.
I’d love to see the reaction of the cops when someone walks in with a video tape making this complaint…

I never really appreciated this sign on the boarded up building next to Velvet Lounge on U Street. An awesome name for sure. Any long time residents who had the opportunity to check this spot out when it was open?

This building is located on Wisconsin Ave between Macomb and Newark. I’ve always liked the painting on the old C.C. Murphy Building. Many have heard that a new Giant will be anchoring this spot. Here’s a rendering of what it could look like in the future:

There’s lots of info at the Wisconsin Avenue Giant Web site.

I found this on 18th Street in Adams Morgan. Fantastic sign!

This sign was so awesome, I made my attorney stop the car a block away so I could run back and snap a photo of it.
