Thanks to a reader for sending yesterday:
“Props to the guy skateboarding in a Spider-Man outfit and shorts in Freedom Plaza”

Petworth.

From a press release:
“Klink, an app-based service for on-demand beer, wine and spirits delivery, is running a limited promotion to celebrate one year of delivering in the District. On June 20, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., D.C. residents will be able to purchase select varieties of wine – normally priced at about $15.00 – for only $0.02.
Here’s how it works. Customers can access Klink’s website at klinkdelivery.com or download the Klink Delivery app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. They will see the $0.02 wine items, which they can add to their cart along with any other products from Klink’s inventory. There is a limit of one discounted bottle of red wine and one discounted bottle of white wine per customer, for a maximum of two bottles of two-cent wine per order. Today only, Klink is waiving its $20 delivery minimum. Delivery is a flat fee of $3.87 regardless of order size.”

Blue raspberry returns (gas station at 15th and U St, NW) just in time for this weekend’s heat wave.
Ed. Note: I promise to use the power of PoPville only for good :)

Whew almost missed this one. Chronicling the Q Street Barbies holiday celebrations remains in tact. Thanks to @dancinpete8 for tweeting us their celebration from cinco de mayo.

“The first two episodes follow one character, Tabitha, while she looks for a spot in a group house in the competitive and high-strung world of DC group houses. As anyone familiar with the process knows, the challenge of convincing strangers that you are the best possible version of yourself is sometimes demeaning, always strange, and often funny.”

Gotta respect the good sense of humor!
A reader admits:
“Yesterday, I reached a new milestone and managed to find myself locked between the two front doors in the entry to my almost-purchased new home in Truxton Circle. After twenty minutes of trying to open the doors, sitting on the floor, checking work emails, wasting time on social media, my relator came to let me out.
New homeowners beware—bring all keys with you at all times!”

Hahaha too good. Thanks to a reader for sending in:
“I was walking up 12th Street after getting out of Metro Center and came across these two items sitting next to each other on the sidewalk. As diet relapses go, I don’t think you can get much lower than Hooters Wings…”
Or maybe I should make this a bonus caption contest?

hahaha awesome – thanks to @LittleMrDawson for tweeting us.
