From a press release:
“As protests against the Trump presidency continue unabated, a new photo book out next week, along with an exhibit that opens in Washington D.C., documents the birth of the resistance movement during three tumultuous days in January.
“UnPresidented: The Inauguration of Donald J. Trump and the People’s Response” powerfully captures the emotions and passions that jolted the nation’s capital the day before, the day of and the day after the inauguration. Trump’s ascendancy to the most powerful job in the world was met with rioting, peaceful civil disobedience and one of the largest protest marches in U.S. history.
The 152-page hardcover coffee table book, which was financed by a successful Kickstarter campaign (it finished as the 58th most backed photo book ever on Kickstarter), goes on sale Wednesday on Amazon. An exhibit featuring 44 black and white images from the book opens the same week at Gallery O on H Street. The gallery is hosting an opening reception at 7 p.m. on April 28, the eve of President Trump’s 100th day in office. The exhibit will run three to four weeks. (more…)
