“In honor of the approaching peak bloom, I wanted to share some of my favorite cherry blossom murals that can be enjoyed all year long or as an addition/alternative to the crowds around the allergy-inducing trees.
My favorite mural in this group is actually on the ground. Across two basketball courts is a giant portrait of MLK Jr. and his “I Have a Dream” quote that includes cherry blossoms, the Washington Monument and shoutouts to DC statehood.
