From a press release:
“The Institute for Primary Facts (IPF) today announced that The Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Reading Room is officially moving to the nation’s capital in time for President Trump’s birthday.
Running between June 9-12, 2026, the first-of-its kind physical library will take over a space twice as large as the original New York location in D.C.’s Chinatown neighborhood near the White House and Department of Justice (DOJ). The installation will house all 3.5 million pages of unsealed court records and investigative files released by the DOJ, printed and bound into more than 3,400 individual volumes weighing more than 17,000 pounds.
The D.C. Reading Room is the next stop on what the organizers hope will become a national tour following the New York Reading Room’s viral success. Nearly 10,000 New Yorkers walked through 3,437 volumes of the Epstein files during the exhibit’s two-week run. The installation has been seen by over 85 million people online. The momentum ahead of the D.C. launch also follows a historic, uninterrupted 24-hour filibuster where advocates, citizens, and 11 survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes took turns reading the unsealed files aloud. Thanks to K. for sending: “A Peek Inside Logan Circle today. Looks like they’re replanting grass and tearing up the existing sidewalks (see bulldozer) to make way for new ones.” (more…)

Franks Wild Years (from some of the Snappy’s folks) is so damn dope. Mint, even. Coming from some of the Snappy’s folks, this is certainly no surprise. And their signage remains top notch: (more…)

Last we checked in on the reopening status of the Petworth Wendy’s on Georgia Ave we noted that folks were driving aimlessly around the Drive-Thru but things were still closed. I peeked in the window while at Porchfest this past weekend and well, (more…)

Back in March we shared the sad news that the Proprietor of Don Julio’s (Grocery/Pupuseria) Passed Away. At the time we weren’t sure if Don Julio’s would be reopening or not. I’m happy to report that have indeed reopened! Go get your pupusas (and more) at your pleasure!

Of course we can, and should celebrate Litteri’s everyday!
We’ve celebrated lots of anniversaries around town over the years but I think this is our first centenary recognition!?! (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I am next door to a townhouse being renovated (at 1700 block of 16th Street, NW). Until yesterday the view out of my windows has been the roofs of the townhouses on my block as they are all shorter than my apartment building, but I came home yesterday and they are building a unit right outside of my window, adding height on in the rear of the townhouse.
