MPD responded and located shell casings in the 300 block of Delafield Pl NW. Anyone with information or video is asked to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or text 50411.”

“Today at approximately 12:45 PM, two suspects approached a person walking in the 1600 block of C St SE. One suspect brandished a gun and the other demanded property. The suspects took some of the victim’s personal property before fleeing east on C St. The victim was uninjured. The suspects were described as (1) a black male, late teens-early 20s, thin build, 5’11”, wearing a black hoody and (2) a black male, 6′-6’2″, wearing a dark hoody and black pants with white stripes. Anyone who may have seen this or has relevant information is asked to please call in a tip to 202-727-9099 or anonymously text 50-411.”

“There were two Robbery incidents that occurred in close proximity this evening [Sunday, Nov. 22]. The first incident was at 14th & East Capitol St. SE at about 5:42 PM. The victim was unloading a bicycle from the back of his car when he looked up and observed two juvenile suspects sitting the car’s front seats rummaging about. Alan Henney reported: “SHOOTING— North Capitol St and T St NE-DC in Eckington. 21yr-old shot in shoulder and ankle. Good vitals.”

“On November 9th, 2020, at approximately 1955 hours, there was a robbery that occurred in the 200 block of 10th Street NE. The Complainant reported that several unknown black male suspects exited a white in color SUV and approached her while she was walking in the block. At which point, the suspects demanded her property, struck her several times in the face, and ultimately took her purse and U.S. Government issued iPhone. The suspects then fled in the same white SUV suspect vehicle.

Shortly afterwards an attempted robbery occurred in the 400 block of 11th Street NE. The Complainant reported that two suspects exited a white in color Honda CRV while she was walking northbound in the 400 block of 11th Street NE. The suspects approached the Complainant and one of the suspects brandished a black in color revolver. The suspects demanded the victim’s purse and struck her with a closed fist in the face. (more…)

Three adult victims were located suffering from gunshot wounds. This case is being investigated by Violent Crime Branch. “excited to share that both AKO by KENAKI and State Fair are opening this week at The Roost.

First, State Fair – the frozen custard and sundae shop from Buzz Bakeshop pastry chef Allie Cheppa – is open tomorrow after a soft opening this past weekend. Menu is pasted at the bottom of this email. We’re also offering a free custard cup for kids with the purchase of a sundae to celebrate opening weekend (available this Fri-Sun). State Fair is open Thursdays – Saturdays from 4 to 8 PM and Sundays from 12 to 4 PM.

Then on Friday, AKO by KENAKI will open. Chef Ken Ballogdajan and his sister Aki will focus on sushi and raw fish preparations for their counter at The Roost. The hours will be Wed-Fri from 4 to 10 PM; Saturdays from noon to 10 PM; and Sundays from noon to 8 PM.

As is the case with the other stalls, guests can order from all available menus via QR code on their phones while seated (inside or out) or for carryout.”
