“They are going w/the idea that got shelved because of the pandemic: all-day Italian-inspired cafe and bar featuring made-in-house pastas, sandwiches, beers and wines. Opening expected next week.”

Thanks to Kathryn for sending: “Looks like something new coming to 17th between Q and Corcoran–seems like a cafe in the former dry cleaners on the bottom level, which has been under construction for a bit. Exciting! Anyone know what it is?”

Exciting news from Bub and Pop’s:

Chipotle closed this location under Boqueria in 2021 and moved to Connecticut Ave. Dog Haus’ website says:

“The Absolute Würst – Gourmet Hot Dogs, Sausages, Burgers, Chicken Sandwiches and Craft Beer”

I wanted to write about a scary incident my friend and I had in Dupont around 7:00 pm last night. We were standing at a crosswalk waiting for the light in front of the circle, and a man approached us. He got very close to me and I assumed he was going to ask for money when he instead hunched down and said in a high-pitched voice, “Hi I’m Elmo” which he repeated a few times. (more…)
