Piccante Pizza is coming to 2120 18th Street in Adams Morgan. 18th Street is a pretty competitive pizza spot with over a half dozen spots already. It’ll be interesting to see if this spot can differentiate itself from the others. But look how happy it’ll make you:

This home is located at 1840 Ontario Place, NW:

More info and photos found here.

I think folks who love old school detail are gonna love this one. What do you think of the photos? The garden?

Does $865,000 sound reasonable for this 4 bed/3.5 bath?

I saw a couple of these sculptures in the plazas on 18th Street and Columbia Road. It seems they are from the Colombian Embassy. Ed. Note: It’s been a long week and I couldn’t find this section on their Web site in English…

Do you like they way they look?

We’ve judged Locolat Cafe, located at 18th and Florida Ave, in the past.

I thought it was interesting that they’ve applied for an alcohol license. The application says that they’ll have:

“Sandwiches, savory waffles, quiches, desserts, chocolates and brunch.”

Sounds like you’ll soon be able to get some mimosas and bloody marys with brunch. I definitely support that. Incidentally what’s a Belgian coffee?

The new Cricket store at the corner of 14th and U has opened. The guy in the photo out front was awesome. As I was setting up the photo he hustled out of the store because he wanted to get in the photo. He put a huge smile on my face.

And in less pleasant news.

Back in January we looked at the promising Zizi Boutique. Folks were happy that a cool non bar option had opened on 18th Street in Adams Morgan. Sadly, it was short lived as the store is now closed.

Thanks to the readers for sending. For the photo above:

“Witnessing a whole slew of firemen/fire trucks outside a smoking rowhouse on 1118 Columbia.” I’m also hearing that the road has been closed for a while.

A description of the above photo:

“No wind, no nothing, this tree outside my apartment at 1800 Clydesdale just decided to fall over at about 11:30 tonight. Nobody was anywhere near it, but it managed to total a Mercedes and scratch a few other cars. It was on the Ontario condo building’s property and wasn’t dead or otherwise in obvious need of removal, but they just cut down about four or five in front of my place so maybe it was mourning its fallen comrades.”
