From an email:

“Hello neighbors,

As some of you may have noticed, our historic Embassy has taken on a splash of color in recent days. A total of 21 Polish posters now adorn our Embassy fence as part of the “Poland Regained” exhibit created in cooperation with the Poster Museum at Wilanów, the oldest museum of its type in the world. This exhibit was specially prepared in advance of the 100th anniversary of Poland’s rebirth which we will be celebrating in 2018. The posters, dating from the 1890s-1930s, are a visual link to the past and include different motifs including vacation advertisement, sporting events, patriotic appeals and more. Whether you are interested in art, history, or just want to see something unique, we invite you to the intersection of 16th Street and Fuller Street NW to have a look and explore the exhibit. Informational brochure can be found on location. Let us know what you think and tag us in your tweets @PolishEmbassyUS!

Do zobaczenia / see you!

UPDATE:

“Our company, SparkFund, moved in May 1. We help organizations access efficient energy technology, like LED lights and controls, and currently have about 40 employees.”

Dear PoPville,

What is happening with the old Stroga space in Adams Morgan?

I’m seeing lights on (long neon rod lights on the second floor) and people in the upstairs part with a sign noting packages should go to the 2nd floor.

Any leads would be great- I miss Stroga but am not sure what will fill that beautiful space next.”

Another reader writes:

“Looks like an office renovation at the old STROGA space. Maybe a co-working office? Seems like that might be a good fit.”

Think a co-working space would do well here? STAY TUNED.

Adams Morgan Movie Nights kicks off Tuesday 5/16 at a new location — Walter Pierce Park — a short walk across the bridge from Woodley Park Metro. The renovation of Marie Reed school forced the change but the series will be back at Marie Reed in 2018.
