I’m not sure if you can tell from this photo but the sculpture is actually really large. I’ve seen a number of them around town (a style of budda?) but the word carving behind it was pretty unique.

This phenomenal giraffe is from NE Capitol Hill. I last spotted a giraffe in Oct. ’09 also in Capitol Hill.

It’s not clear if it helps you find water or not.

Best pumpkin pyramid I spotted all weekend…

If intangible arts is reading this I hope he is sitting down. He is the only one I know who was as mesmerized by these pigs as I am. They are located at 1864 Monroe St, NW.

As I was making my regular rounds in Mt. Pleasant I was stopped dead in my tracks when I noticed the for sale sign was under contract. (Listing price was $835,000, for the curious you can see lot of photos of the interior here.)
So the only question I have is – will the new owners keep these beloved pigs? Or will they go the way of the knights…?

This one from Adams Morgan is one of my new favorites.

This house on Hopkins St, just off P St, NW in Dupont has one of the coolest turrets.

Plus there’s a wild sculpture out front that I’ve been looking forward to re-PoP:

I couldn’t imagine how terrifying this would be at night… (It’s from Mt. Pleasant.)

Here’s a sweet lawn decoration, best spot for a morning cup of coffee or mojito and a fresh water feature from Capitol Hill all wrapped up in one.
