I’m starting to notice these all over the city. This one is from Capital Hill but I just saw a bigger version over in Mt. Pleasant. I wonder if the artist is local? I like how the one above looks in the middle of all the ivy.

This may be one of the stranger ones I’ve encountered but I couldn’t take my eyes off it…

Back when I noticed this house for sale (GDoN Revisited here)I wondered what would happen to my favorite porch decorations:

I can only hope they found a new loving home.

Not officially from the 1st on First Bloomingdale artwalk but still from First St, NW in Bloomingdale.

I mentioned yesterday that Bloomingdale hosted their First on 1st Artwalk this past Sat. Anyone else check it out? I won’t be able to get to all of them but I’ll try and highlight of pieces a couple each day. Above is some yarn art by m. gert barkovic and below is from my friend Sean Hennessey.

I can’t remember if I’ve ever shown this cool plate from Capitol Hill but it was looking particularly fresh last weekend next to the blooming flower.

I’ve always liked this venus de milo like sculpture in Adams Morgan. I think I’ve noted it before. But this was the first time I’ve seen the head on the door nearby. Now I’m a little freaked out…

It’s been a while since I’ve seen one so special.

If I have trouble sleeping tonight, I’m gonna know who/what to blame…

While not my favorite pigs, these two shots from Dupont(ish) gave me a couple of double takes. Could they represent a step in the direction of loosening urban farming laws?
