And here’s the final classic row house for this week. Aside from the air conditioning units this one is pretty tough to beat.

I’ve featured some of these cool row houses from Dupont in the past. But I still marvel at this one’s uniqueness.  I’ve never seen any others around town with a decoration like this:

Again, going back to my roots for classic row houses. This classic is of course from the great 1st Street, NW near Big Bear Cafe. I stop and admire this one everytime I pass it.

As I mentioned, this week is going to feature some classic row houses. I liked how the three above complimented each other but if I had to chose the best I’d pick the one to the left.

Last week featured some extraordinary homes for house of the day honors. This week I need to go back to my roots and appreciate some classic row houses. I love the simple one above and find it a sorta palate cleanser.

Here’s the last two from my crazy journey up in North Country (west side). The one above has a bit of a Spanish fortress look going on. The one below has a sweet sunroom.

I really liked the wood siding on this one. Kinda had a bit of a farmhouse look as well.

Ok here are the last two overlooking the woods in Forest Hills. Some more cool ones later this week but in different sections of Forest Hills. This one has a ton of balconies and windows:

One more house after the jump. (more…)

Here’s another killer from Forrest Hills. This one could very well be the most unusual I’ve seen in the city.

You gotta check out all the details. Above is actually the back of the house. Below is a shot of the front:

After the jump lots more photos. (more…)
