Though blocked a bit by foliage I think you can get a taste of how cool this old school home looks. It’s from Capitol Hill and has a killer front porch. I imagine this one is seriously old.

This great house from U St, NW (just east of 18th) has been featured before but just got a paint job. If memory serves I think it was a faded red previously. Anyone else remember what color it was? Anyway, I think the blue looks pretty good. You guys?

This beauty from Shaw has a phenomenal bay window and phenomenal details as well:

Alright, I couldn’t wait to post this house from the Palisades. Note the double decker porch on the left hand side and you can’t really tell from the photo but there are some serious details around the windows as well.

Another killer from Cleveland Park. Again, really digging the details here, especially the windows:

I think this Georgetown one is pretty interesting because it looks like it might be (relatively) new construction. Do you like the style?

I know I get scolded for liking these vines but what can I say, I like these vines.

Here’s an interesting sorta carriage house style house in Georgetown. And nearby is one of the smaller homes I’ve ever seen that I think I may have shown over the years:

I’m giving this one house of the day honors because it was a shell for many many years. It’s on M St, NW in Mt. Vernon Square but I can’t find a picture of the shell in my archives. Trust me, it was a total shell. I’m thinking it looks great now.

Like carriage houses, I can’t stay away from bungalows for too long. This colorful one is a bit north of Grant Circle.
