I was going through some serious vestibule withdrawal. Fortunately, the Bloomingdale neighborhood is filled with ’em!

This is a pretty cool looking cabana door from Woodley Park. I’ve seen this style in apartment buildings before but this is the first one I’ve seen from a rowhouse.

Sometimes I really appreciate the simple solid ones. Though this one also has a cool arch above it as well.

I feel like I’ve seen a few with this design on the front. It must’ve been popular back in the day.

While I like the door itself, this one is really all about the door knocker.

This beaut is from Mt. Vernon Triangle.

This is a cool looking gate with a frame in front of it. I dig the way the plant hangs off it.

Two for one – sweet vestibule and door:

I’m digging this shot Rukasu1 uploaded to the PoPville Flickr pool.

“I saw this gate/doorway/opening at the Basilica today. I think it is the entrance to the confessional area but I’m not Catholic, so I’m not certain.”
Anyone know if this door goes to a confessional area or something else?
