Not sure if this photo does the door justice but there is an interesting pattern going on and the door knob is in the middle of the door.

Well the door itself isn’t that great but it’s quite unusual. I am digging the transom as well as the little security security grate.

Sadly, PoP has been experiencing some technical difficulties this week. Most of the issues have been cleared up but I’ll be upgrading to a new server this weekend to further improve the capability. All that is a preface to say because yesterday was a cluster flock you get two doors of the day today. Hurrah! And thanks so much for your patience during a bit of spotty time. I hope you enjoy these doors as much as I do…

Awesome looking door to the vestibule. Very unusual shape.

This great one was found in an alley near the old Wonderbread Factory. Stay tuned for some more great history on that alley tomorrow.

A reader wanted to see the red door from Park Road near the Giant (in Columbia Heights). I’ve definitely posted this one before but it is pretty cool. I particularly like the border:

Here’s a couple of nice examples that lead to vestibules.

As promised two more interesting doors from Bloomingdale Court. Sorry the one below is a bit blurry the two images on the actual door are monkey faces.

This great carriage house is from the brand new Bloomingdale Court. This is my favorite house from the group but I’m gonna show a couple more doors for Door of the Day (above).
