Back in Aug. 2010 the Pleasure Place closed at at 1710 Connecticut Ave, NW in north Dupont Circle. For a while it looked like a new market from the owners of Toscana Cafe would be opening in the space but that seemed to have fallen through in Dec. 2011. Now a new liquor license application has been posted for a proposed liquor store. Proposed hours are Monday through Saturday 9 am to 10 pm. More info as it becomes available.

Last week a reader noted that the Tasti D Lite had “temporarily closed” in Columbia Heights. While there is no sign posted out front the P Street location in Dupont has also closed.
A new dry cleaners is coming to the former WY18 sales office at 2206 18th St, NW next to the Adams Morgan Coffee Shop.

Back in May we saw that the former Barnes & Noble in Georgetown would reopen as a Nike store this summer. Opening has been postponed until the Fall:

Woodley Park’s new CVS at the corner of Connecticut and Calvert St, NW has applied for a liquor license to sell beer and wine.
Does anyone remember if the old CVS sold beer and wine? I don’t believe they did.
