From a press release:

“Mazza Gallerie is welcoming Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids as their newest tenants, set to open this Thursday, February 13th.

Special opening weekend deal – both stores will be offering 10% off the entire purchase, Thursday, February 13th – Sunday, February 16th.

Pottery Barn was built on the idea that home furnishings should be exceptional in comfort, quality, style and value. From the bedroom to the bath, the kitchen to the home office, the entryway to the backyard, the new Pottery Barn location on Level 2 of Mazza Gallerie has everything you need to create your dream home – and to entertain in it.

Pottery Barn Kids provides casual furnishings and textiles designed to delight and inspire the imagination. All your needs for baby and kids can be found in the new location at Mazza Gallerie on the Concourse Level, with bedding, decor, furniture, toys, gifts and gear that exude creativity.”

Previously a Pottery Barn had been located across the street in the Chevy Chase Pavilion. That space is now an H&M.

@amdavinci1474 tweets us the photo above:

“New Reeboks are released today at DTLR. I live around the corner, there are lines a couple times a month”

Though ‏@therealmarta tweets us:

“Wondering why folks are lined up with tents and folding chairs around the corner of 14th and Florida.”

“checked their instagram [@Palace5ive] and apparently it’s some “Tiffany’s” Nikes. Come out tomorrow at 11 am! Brr.”

So either new Reeboks or new Nikes or both are coming out today or tomorrow and will be available at DTLR and/or Palce5ive…

From Florida Ave, NE in Trinidad.

I remember when folks used to bust my chops for calling corner stores bodegas. I feel vindicated!! Though technically this Bodega is also called ‘Bodega Market’ covering all their bases:

“Dear PoPville,

I was just curious if you had any idea what is being built on 13th and Florida NE. It looks like it could be commerical on the bottom floor, but I’m not quite sure. They are definitely moving quickly on the renovations, though.”

I spoke with some workers last weekend who said there could be plans for a restaurant or corner store but they weren’t 100% sure. Stay tuned.
